1. Purpose of this notice

Zeptotravel publishes a lot of explanatory content: how fare families work, when a rental counter charges a young-driver surcharge, what a collision damage waiver actually covers, how far ahead a timed-entry ticket sells out. That material exists to make you a better-informed buyer. This notice sets out the limits of what it is, and how to use it safely. It applies to every page on this site, to our emails and newsletters, and to general guidance given by an advisor on a call.

It sits alongside, and does not replace, our Terms & Conditions, which govern the booking relationship itself.

2. Guidance is general, not advice

Content on this site is written to describe how the travel industry generally operates. It is not a statement about your specific booking, your specific fare, or your specific circumstances. Two travellers on the same aircraft can hold tickets with entirely different refund, change and baggage rights because they bought different fare brands from different filings on different days. A page that describes the typical shape of those rules cannot tell you which one applies to you.

What governs your booking is the supplier’s own documentation for the product you actually bought — the filed fare rule, the rate plan, the rental agreement, the operator’s conditions — together with what is stated on your confirmation. Where our general description and the supplier’s document differ, the supplier’s document is right. 3. Not legal, immigration, medical, tax or insurance advice

We are travel agents. We are not lawyers, immigration advisers, licensed customs brokers, physicians, tax professionals or insurance brokers, and nothing on this site is professional advice in any of those fields.

• Immigration and entry. Passport validity rules, visa and electronic authorisation requirements, transit rules, and documentation for minors depend on your nationality, residency, itinerary and purpose of travel, and they change without notice. We will tell you what we know and where to check, but the official source — the destination government and, for US travellers, the US Department of State — is the only source you should rely on.
• Health. Vaccination requirements, testing rules and fitness-to-fly questions are matters for a qualified travel health professional and, for aviation medical clearance, the carrier’s medical desk. Consult them early; some vaccinations must be given weeks before travel to be valid.
• Tax. Anything we say about the tax treatment of travel spending, per-diem rules or reclaiming charges is general commentary. Speak to your own accountant.
• Insurance. Where we describe what travel protection typically covers, the only thing that governs a claim is the policy wording issued by the insurer. Read it, particularly the exclusions and any pre-existing-condition or purchase-window conditions.
• Safety and security. We are not a source of security or risk assessment for any destination. Consult official government travel advisories.

4. Supplier rules change without notice

Airlines refile fares and revise baggage and change policies frequently. Rental companies change age policies, fuel policies, counter charges, one-way rules and branch opening hours location by location, sometimes without notice to the distribution channel.

We review our content on a schedule and update it when we become aware of a change, and every page carries a review date. Even so, a page can be out of date for a period between a supplier changing a rule and our noticing it. Content is provided on an “as is” basis and we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free.

5. Always verify with the operating supplier

Before you rely on any specific detail for a decision that costs money or time — a baggage allowance, a change penalty, a check-in deadline, a minimum connection time, a cancellation cut-off, an age requirement, a fuel policy — verify it against the operating supplier’s own terms for your booking, or ask us to verify it for you. Verification is free; see the list of things we never charge for in our fee schedule. This is not us disclaiming responsibility for our own work: if we quote you a rule on your booking and we get it wrong, that is our error and we fix it and absorb the cost. It is a warning against reading a general article and assuming it describes your ticket.

6. Third-party trademarks

Airline, airport and rental company names, logos and trademarks that appear on this site are the property of their respective owners. We use them nominatively — that is, purely to identify the products and suppliers we can book on your behalf, in the way that any agent must be able to name what it sells. No claim of ownership is made and none should be inferred. If you own a mark and object to how it is used here, email legal@zeptotravel.com and we will review it promptly.

7. No endorsement or affiliation

Naming a supplier is not an endorsement of it, and describing a supplier’s policy is not an endorsement of that policy. Unless we expressly say otherwise on a given page, Zeptotravel LLC is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or acting as agent of any airline or rental company named on this site beyond the ordinary commercial arrangements of a travel agency. We hold no trade accreditation of our own and display no accreditation mark. Equally, we do not claim that any supplier endorses us.

8. External links

We link to airline pages, government sources, regulators and other third-party sites to help you verify things at the source. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of the organisation or of everything on the page. Links can also rot: a government page that was correct when we linked to it may move or change. If you find a broken or wrong link, tell us.

9. Forward-looking statements about price

Where our content says something like “fares to Europe are usually lowest around seven to eleven weeks out” or “rates in this city typically fall after the convention season”, that is a description of a general pattern, not a prediction and not a promise. Prices are set by suppliers using dynamic revenue management and can move in any direction for reasons no agency can see in advance. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a price will fall, rise, remain available, or be matched.

We make no “lowest price” or “best price” claim of any kind. Where a published online fare beats what we can quote, our advisors are instructed to tell you and to point you at it. All prices shown anywhere on this site are indicative and subject to availability until ticketed — the mechanics are explained in Price Accuracy & Fare Rules.

10. Supplier-supplied descriptions and images

Vehicle images and class descriptions, inclusion lists, supplier ratings, branch photographs, cabin and seat-map illustrations and location maps come from suppliers and their data providers. Vehicle images in particular show a representative model for a class, not the specific car reserved for you — every rental booking is a guaranteed class, not a guaranteed model, and the listing will normally say “or similar”. Supplier photographs may be some years old or show a facility since refitted. We present this material in good faith but cannot independently verify every element of it, and we are not responsible for supplier-authored inaccuracies. If a vehicle or a service materially differs from what was described, tell us at the time and we will take it up with the supplier on your behalf.

11. Editorial independence

We earn money from commissions paid by suppliers and from the service fees published in our fee schedule. That creates an obvious potential conflict, and we would rather name it than pretend it does not exist. Our rule is that guidance is written to be right rather than to be profitable, that we say plainly when booking direct or through another channel is the better option for you, and that commission levels do not determine what our content recommends or the order in which advisors present options.
